THE SILBERBERGS
Rabbi Kopel and Goldy Silberberg embarked on their life journey together in 2016. They are a dynamic couple who have been involved in Jewish education and outreach all their lives. Kopel and Goldy are known for their warm and welcoming hospitality. Their many guests enjoy their passionate sharing of Judaism, friendly relaxed atmosphere and great food!

In the summer of 2018 the Silberbergs moved to Tamarac to establish a new Chabad Center to cater to the growing Jewish community. Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac offers a variety of adult and children’s educational programming including Jewish Women’s Circle, and Kid's Clubs. They conduct Shabbat and Holiday services and offer programs and meals at their synagogue and home. In addition, they offer a wide range of other Jewish services including officiating at weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and funerals;  and visits to senior homes and centers, hospitals and prisons. The Silberbergs have a full Jewish lending library and are delighted to host one-on-one or small group study sessions with all who have a question or subject they’d like to explore.

RABBI KOPEL SILBERBERG
Rabbi Kopel was raised in West Bloomfield, Michigan. His distinguished parents dedicated their lives to serving the local community. He studied in yeshivot in Chicago, Manchester England, and Brooklyn. In 2014 he received his rabbinical ordination through the Central Chabad Yeshiva in NY, and has been a practicing Rabbi since.

As a student Rabbi Kopel directed Chabad programs and services in many parts of the globe, assisting Jewish communities in Ukraine, Amsterdam, San Antonio TX. Rabbi Kopel is harnessing this passion to fulfill his life’s mission; serving the wonderful Jewish community in Tamarac.

GOLDY SILBERBERG
Goldy grew up in Brooklyn, NY Chabad Lubavitch Jewish Headquarters.  Goldy is passionate about education and outreach. She studied in Israel and NY, focusing on early childhood education.

Rabbi Kopel, Goldy, and their three children, Mendel, Dovber, and Nossen are excited to settle in Tamarac and humbled by the warm welcome. They are working to develop a warm and welcoming center and enhance Jewish life and pride for people of all ages and walks of life, with innovative and personalized programming full of meaningful, vibrant content.
